[EN] Vann Nath has resumed his public speaking activities. Last Friday, he gave a talk at the headquarters of non-governmental organization Pour un Sourire d'Enfants (PSE) to more than 2000 young people between the age of 12 and 25. Nath talked about his experience at S21 and the issues at stake in the Khmer Rouge trial for about an hour. Following his talk, he then took questions from the audience for another two hours and made a point to answer all of them until the end of the session. He returned home exhausted, but happy; the youth’s hunger for knowledge particularly warmed him and he was comforted in knowing that his efforts were indeed useful.
Vann Nath will give another talk next Friday for a German non-governmental organization in a hotel in Phnom Penh located near Cambodiana.
Moreover, Vann Nath is looking to publish the story of his sojourn at S21 in the Khmer language - it was already published in English and French. He is currently updating his story with his impressions on Duch's trial. We hope we will be able to help him publish his story in the first half of next year.
His health situation is stable. His kidneys partially function now, which allow him to slow down without any danger the frequency of his dialysis treatment to once or twice a week.
